Interview with TVP World

Watch below an interview I did with Poland’s TVP World to discuss Russia’s arrest of Evan Gershkovich, an American journalist working for the Wall Street Journal in Moscow. Evan was detained by the FSB security forces this week on suspicions of spying while working on a story in the Ural Mountains. The Wall Street Journal has categorically denied the allegations. It marks a major escalation of tensions between the United States, but also of an increasing Russian crackdown on journalists following the invasion of Ukraine.
